Introduction of Aquafloors movable floor in Malta
Introducing the timeless AQUAFLOORS swimming pool project. Located in Malta, it is characterised by the vertical movable floor.
How does the movable floor work in a swimming pool?
The floor works in two ways – it is primarily the floor of the pool, but when raised it also functions as a terrace or whatever. This is made possible by the latest technology in the form of a hydraulic system hidden under the base. When the pool is raised, the water drains under the floor and when it is lowered, it is pushed back up.
The base structure itself is made from 316L stainless steel, which is strong and durable and can also provide a load capacity of 200 kg/m2 for a covered pool. So we can have a swimming pool one minute and a terrace or living space the next.
Creating a pool with an in-ground lift allows for a wide range of liner options, stair solutions and even benches. The bottom of the pool can be raised to any height to create either a swimming pool or a paddling pool for the little ones. Built in Malta, this pool is the perfect complement to a modern luxury home with a terrace. The pool is 10 metres long and 3.5 metres wide.
The steps are on one side and slope down to a depth of 1.5 metres. The floor itself can be set to any depth, as mentioned above. At the same time, it can be secured with any code or controlled by a mobile app. In the latter case, you can store up to 3 pool depths and recall them at any time with a single click.
Have the latest technology
Are you planning a new pool and looking for a modern and technologically advanced solution? The movable floor is fully automatic and very safe compared to falling into conventional pools. It allows wheelchair access in principle, but in the case of medical facilities it would need to be adapted for rehabilitation needs.
The movable floor can be installed in skimmer and overflow pools of any shape and also allows a selection of interesting water accessories. Read more about the movable floor and let us know your vision.
